As part of coordination of large components for assembly, the ITER team successfully transferred a 440-tonne vacuum vessel sector from the assembly hall to the tokamak pit. This is a temporary move to accommodate adjustments needed for tooling and final sector repairs. Installation of two completed sectors into the tokamak pit is expected to occur in mid-2025.
